St Peter’s Church, Shepton Montague
Saturday 26th May 2018
Thanks to everyone who contributed plants, baked cakes, donated raffle prizes, volunteered to help out on the day or beforehand – and of course, came along to spend their money – the 2018 Plant Sale was another great success.
The weather was pleasantly warm and dry, bringing visitors from near and far to make their purchases from the extensive range of locally grown shrubs, bedding plants, vegetables and herbs on offer.
As usual, the cake stall was very popular, with all stock sold, and the Village Hall committee did a sterling job of providing cream teas and other refreshments to sustain visitors and volunteers alike.
For those who couldn’t make it on the day, or still have a few square inches of empty space in their gardens, we will have a smaller, but nonetheless enticing, selection of plants and shrubs on sale at the Village Fete on Saturday 25th August 2018.
Meanwhile, all being well, the Plant Sale will be back to raise funds for St Peter’s Church at around the same time of year in 2019, so watch this space.
